hannah is trying to make some fairly simple loops to go with her piano recordings.
i used to use cakewalk sonar, logic studio and protools at college. these seem a bit ott for her needs (not to mention its a long time since i have used such things and im not sure id be to capable of teaching her)
does anyone know or a simple sequencer that would fullfill her need without advanced education?

so cubasis....wass dat den? simple downed version of cubase im guessing?
do you know, since im in a lazy mood, if that would alow the ability to manually enter beats in a bar?
i used to use one or another prgram.. i cant remember which.. to make drum beats by putting little spots(that coresponded to beats) in a rythmic pattern on a virtual bar. this is what i want for hannah so she can create simple beats and tunes with various midi instruments to go along side her recordings of paino...
does that make sence?

and im fairly sirtain, as i said before, at this stage, she doesnt need the functionality of a grands worth of protools or whatever...

Yeah, Cubasis was a much simplified version of Cubase. There's also a piece of software called Fruity Loops which is geat for creating drum patterns. Check out ebay and see what's being sold on.

yeah ... i downloaded i trial of fruity loops... its not really what shes looking for from my fiddling it seemd very simple in some ways but was way complicated when trying to input wav

Hamish, I have to agree with you. Fruity Loops can be a total pig to use. Cubasis is far easier. Check out Turnkey in London...

If it's simple loops why not buy an old Akai S1000 sampler, Not sure what they use these days but that sampler was the industry standard when i did my Studio Engineering courses..Should get one of these for say 80 punds now...There's been newer smaller models like the Akai S01 but i know nothing of these..Akai did Studio sampling synths aswell they were good.
