Ultra-rare piece of Hi-Fi history, and a still-impressive example of clever engineering.

There are not many of these in existence, and many fewer with Euro power supplies like this one.

The centering function works by measuring the eccentricity of a record using the run-out groove, then automatically moving the record centre with servos inside the platter.
There's a few videos on line of this function, here's one:

Really interesting article (I think) on why a centered record is so important:

I have rear and side arm boards with SME cutout, blanks for rear and side, and side cut for TriPlanar. Also got spare glass platter, centre weight, and a few other accessories.

I have the original box and crate for shipping, but would also welcome a buyer collecting from my home near Nantwich, Cheshire.

Looking for £7,000 ono

Indeed Grant.

@Dave, would be useful to say what cutout/tonearm the armboard is for ?

Flippin' eck! - Now THAT is a TT... Why on earth are you selling?

Dandy

@grant, good point, added arm boards available to OP.
@Mr Adder, need cash more than a fourth turntable. It was an item I thought I would never sell as an engineer, but I am looking to replace it with another nice piece of engineering so needs must.

If that's you fourth TT, what's your for best one? :-)

Dandy

Ha ha, certainly not fourth in quality terms, was meaning I have too many! It is probably equal in SQ to the one I use most (TTW Momentus CU9999), but suspect it will be more difficult to sell that one.

GLWTS, I'd snap it up if I had the spare readies.

Oh. My. Word. :stalks::stalks::stalks::

Just about top of my 'most wanted turntable ever' list. drool::drool:

My piggy bank is a little short. Will you take cats, limbs or kidneys in part exchange?

Definitely buying a lottery ticket this week. If that fails, I might have to turn to crime :mental: Simply gorgeous. I can't imagine that you need it but good luck with the sale.

Now That is just amazing , A TT that I would love too own , sadly 7000 reasons why I won't be the owner :(

I think you would do well renting it out on a monthly basis :D

Thanks, all, for kind comments. I won't take body parts but may consider hi-fi items in part exchange (provided they will be easy to sell!)

Anyone interested? I'd prefer not to send abroad so will look favorably at offers and part exchanges from UK...
