I saw that too (and posted about it - http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?41095-Korg-produces-a-new-vacuum-tube!) - very interesting!

Only hope that the usual commerical practice of keeping such innovations exclusively for your own products is short lived and they allow purchase by others (Noritake will want to sell as many as possible to anyone I'm sure..). Korg is more interested (in my view) in valve harmonic distortion for musicians rather than their use in fast and transparent audiophile things, so we might not get to hear their full sonic virtues assuming they have them.
