Been fitting the Mission 774 arm to my 401, having a problem with the arm lift, in that the hole in the horizontal part that accepts the vertical shaft (ooer missus) is worn. The Mission one does not have a grub screw and is normally an interference fit, but this one has worn and it will not seat firmly.

Wondering if anyone has a lift lying around they would sell?

The shaft is 3mm, so anything that will fit, preferably with a grub screw would be grand.

Cheers.

It's quite a common problem Ali. If you can't get a suitable alternative, glue it in place with small blob of 'Super Crylic' adhesive. Degrease the shaft and arm rest plate first with a bit of meths or similar residue free spirit. Allow the adhesive to show the first slight signs of setting before applying (about half a minute), as you mix it, you can see it start to thicken quite quickly. It's brilliant stuff! Hard in 15 to 20 minutes.

You'll have to find a means of keeping the plate level while the adhesive sets. Maybe BluTak.

Aye thanks Geoff, was going to try something like that if nothing turns up.
