So... how accurate is 'Back to the Future Part 2'...?

Today is the day that Doc and Marty jumped in the olde Delorian and took off to this day back in 1989.

Has anyone bought a flying car modification for $39,999,95?
Has anyone got Power Laces on their trainers?
Has anyone got a Hover Board?

lol... yes, I'm a fan of the films, have been since the first one came out.

So tonight I'll be kicking back and sticking BTTF2 on and playing some Huey Lewis & The News for olde time sake... lol

Great trio of films. Like them all and have them all too. Not much of the future has appeared alas.. No re-hydrated pizzas. We might be able to do a shark attack but it wont be realistic...but i will likely put it on too:)

lol.. cool, Grant.

And to celebrate the soundtracks of all 3 films are being released on vinyl or the first time ever!

We are now officially living 'in the future'.

Personally I was hoping it would be a bit more like 'The Jetsons' and a little less like 'Logan's Run' but I suppose you can't have everything.

One odd prediction from BTTF II - fax machines on the street like payphones. Oops, got that one wrong.

lol... yup, very wrong. but in a twist of retro I can see that happening in the future.

Weird that some places still use em daily though.

We are now officially living 'in the future'.

We all actually live in the past. Our perception of the present is delayed by the time it takes for our senses to envisage the moment. Everything we think we are experiencing has already just happened. Apart from death of course. :D

yeah but I want a Hover Board... and I want my car to fly.

Well you could argue that our perception of the present is the present since the experience is 100% subjective and confined to the individual. We can never know someone else's present. We just assume it is similar to ours, which it probably is or things would become very confusing.

In any case this is just one more disappointment. October 21st 2015 and no hover boards or flying cars or Mr Fusion. And to think I was unhappy back on September 13th 1999 when there wasn't a catastrophic nuclear explosion that hurled the Moon out of Earth's orbit and through a series of time and space warps.

I'm tempted to think they were just making it all up.

I've got one of the personal editions, a paramotor:

I've got a Flux Capacitor you can have. Used it on a Sinclair C5, with variable results!
