I need to make a new high level input cable for my subwoofer.
I have ordered the 4 pole Neutrik Speakon plug. I was thinking of using some cheap 1.5mm2 speaker cable to make the connections from speakers to sub, as I need to take the feed from the back of my speakers. I need the positive from one, and both from the other.

Is speaker cable ok for this, or should I consider using a twisted pair instead?

Twisted pair?

For one speaker, yes + a feed from the other.

I'd just chuck the speaker cable in place and wire up as appropriate.

The impedance is so low, 8 ohms, that twisted pair shouldn't be required. Go with the 1.5mm :)
