This is a very good sounding player indeed, the DAC in it sounds great. I borrowed a Benchmark DAC awile ago in hope to upgrade but made it sound terrible!
Nice CD player, Andre! I've always liked older Micromegas and used to own (and love) one of these [picture shamlessly stolen from pfm]:

I notice that you've now also embraced the joys of proper equipment supports! ;)
Marco.
The ONLY thing wrong with the Stage 6 in the UK was the dire after-sales service once the UK distribution went awry. Parts could be got from France but they were very expensive, a shame, as the CD drive was a "special" I understand. Good machine that one IMO, regardless.

Funny you should mention that player Marco as i bought a used CDM but came smashed to pieces..
Just wondering if the Russ Andrews Torylite plinth might sound better than the glass Mana type shelf!
:lolsign: Deffo need to change those cheap spikes for Stainless ones

I reckon it will - try it, or first try losing the metal cones and sitting the player's feet directly on top of the glass :)
Personally, I've never had good results with cones (metal or otherwise) under CDPs on glass shelves...
When you try the Torylite, use the cones then :smoking:

Nice one, Andre - I bet you're looking forward to getting that lot fired up! :)
Btw, did you try what I suggested above (removing the cones, etc) on the shelf underneath your CDP?
Marco.
Andre
Why do you need five (5) power amps? - just curious...
