As some of you will know, I have been struggling with a future amplifier upgrade so instead I decided to change my cartridge. I say change rather than upgrade because, although it is a long way different to our old OM40, it is difficult to say whether it is actually better or actually just different. High frequencies are much more prominent but the midrange is stunning and so much more superior to the OM40. How many people out there can actually say that a change is truly an upgrade...? The new Silver cartridge now only has about 50 minutes on the clock so things can only get better. Looking forward to the next 50 hours or so.
