I am saving up for a Clearaudio Double Matrix record cleaning machine, so my Smart Matrix is up for sale. It's about 8 years old, in very good condition, with recent new velvet strips on the suction tube and fluid applicator brush. This machine has a platter that rotates in both directions, with manual application of the cleaning fluid. Each side of the record has to be cleaned in turn - it does not do both simultaneously. It's not exactly quiet when hoovering the record, but is not ear-shattering. It does the job perfectly well, if not to the standard of the £3k Double Matrix!
The Smart Matrix has evolved into something cosmetically smarter in its current form, retailing for £775. Mine is mechanically and functionally the same, with the advantage of an integral hinged lid.
I would like £335 for it, including UK carriage.
