anyone had any experience of a little bear mm / mc budget phono stage...??..
Got one of their mc stepup stages but not tried it yet. Think Barry did a write up on it.

Hi Alan,
I wonder if you've seen my offer to Tony in his ''turntable advice'' thread,
i have a failed project Little Bear stage, if you or a friend is good with a soldering iron,
it's yours for the cost of postage,i'll find out from Tony if he wants it or not.
let me know what you think.

What happened Andy.?? Not seen one but dont they come with all the parts? ..mind you if the instructions are badly written it may be a little tricky following it, but wouldnt have thought it to be too difficult.

Yeah Grant, but i am just useless, got it.....looked at it a couple of times...then said i'll give it a go,
that was two years or so ago, it looks really simple but i know it's not gonna happen, i am moving more and more in lessen box count direction,
hence i moved on my MC2 Audio MC750 Pro amp as i did my knee in lifting the dead weight stretching over a pile of Lp's to get to my phonostage/SUT,
like you not getting younger anymore.:(
Edit: Grant!!...if Tony and Alan don't bite, would you like to build it up?, i'll wing it to you for cost of postage,
just dug it out, everything is still here including all the wee valves, read a build thread somewhere and just thought.....

PM'd you Alan, one thing though, i am pretty sure it came with a simple instruction/wiring diagram but can't see it,
i must have kept it out and attempted to read it and lost it, i am sure there will be plenty of info in the web to assist you.
if you have the model no, you will find something on line. Plenty folk been playing with these. Probably some members too. It looks like it only needs the tx put in anyways

Grant, i don't even think there's any soldering needed, the TX has wires that terminate onto the green blocks,
Perspex top with cut out for the valves and Perspex bottom, i've not removed the protective film or took the bubble wrap off the valves,
finger happy thats my problem but it's going to a good home and getting used, thats good enough.

Try moving the transformer to see it has any effect.
