I'd like to be able to confirm the digital audio format coming through TosLink and USB connections from various audio devices / interfaces I use. eg to confirm whether a particular device is sending 44/16, 48/16, 96/24 etc
I know you can buy specialised devices (typically very expensive), but on the other hand I have available PCs, Macs and Raspberry Pis with USB and/or Toslink interfaces already in place, so I'm wondering is there software (perhaps even built in) that I can use for such analysis?
Any thoughts and ideas welcomed!
