I have for sale an Amptastic Mini-1 amplifier . I bought this amp without a PSU which can be bought direct from Amptastic for around £15 . The amp is in excellent condition and comes boxed .

I also have for sale a Linear PSU which is suitable for the Mini-1 and , since the output can be adjusted , is also suitable for other kit which requires a Linear PSU.
When I bought this PSU from China I sent it to James ( istari knight ) to be checked for suitabllity for use in the UK . James not only gave the PSU a clean bull of health , he also upgraded some of the caps to Kimber Kaps.
The umbilical cable has also been upgraded with new cable and a new plug :http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OYAIDE-DC-2-5G-AUDIOPHILE-GRADE-DC-POWER-PLUG-FITS-SQUEEZEBOX-TOUCH-/350584424390?hash=item51a075c7c6
I've had the Mini-1 , powered by this PSU , on all day at home and the PSU casing stays cool to the touch . This is an excellent upgrade to the PSU supplied by Amptastic.
I'm looking for £60 for the PSU .
I may be willing to do a deal if someone wishes to purchase them together .

Hi,

Would the PSU be able to output 5v for use with a Raspberry Pi, and can the connector be changed to a micro USB one, I'm looking for a decent PSU for the Pi and I see linear is the way to go for improved sound etc.

Mike.

The PSU can be adjusted to output 5V quite easily . You would probably need some kind of adaptor Mike http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-5-5x2-1-mm-Jack-To-Right-Angle-USB-Mini-5-pin-Male-Power-Adapter-Converter-/251783939977?hash=item3a9f7e0789
Maybe some of the experts here can help further .

Probably will depend on how much current it can put out as well

I think it's 2.5V Grant . Can you please advise if this output is suitable fot the Pi .

2.5 amps? if it is then yes it will power a pi and probably a hdd too although those are better self powered anyways. recommended is 2 amps needed although Ive used less and it worked so 2.5 would be fine

Hi both of you,

I'll give it some thought and get back to you soon, I have my eye on a few other items and not sure what to go for first.

Mike.
