How did you bond the base plate? What type of glue as i'm worried about drilling through my deck, one mistake and it's toast.

Defo - it makes a huge difference, as it allows the bearing to realise its full potential!

Sorry for the delay in replying. I bonded the base plate with high strength epoxy resin(araldite)
I heated it up with a hair dryer to get it nice and runny. Mike has instructions that are supplied with the base plate on the correct way to bond the plate.

I did the base plate, bearing,copper arm board, power supply and arm in one go. So the initial improvement was night and day. I am looking forward to the final piece. :eek:

I did the copper arm board.

I had one of these as well and they offer extremely good value for money. You can improve this again by swapping for an ebony armboard, I've written a review somewhere on the forum.

Yep ! Really brings all the other good stuff together and makes the Techie look and sound grown up IMO and IME :)
