Hi Mick,
Thanks for saying hello and outlining your system - nice one :)
So where are you from?
Marco.
Welcome, Mick - interesting system, (today!) - and some good music choices - played a bit of Japan the other day (Tin Drum, vinyl) but not spun any Talk Talk for ages, so might just dig some out, thanks!
Enjoy the forum and look forward to chatting with you.
Hi Mick,

Marco.
Mick lives a bit further north from me. :)
His AA Maestro came from me and my Melody came from him. We've met! ;)

Hi Mick,
Welcome to AoS!... Let me know if you get your hands on those 'certain' mono's and we'll see if we can sort a deal. :eyebrows:
Cheers...
Welcome Mick !

nice one mate just got me hands on sylvians new album great album pleased he,s moved away from the mad electronic sound back to acoustic !
thanks to all for the welcome much appreciated !
anyone who likes sylvian and talk talk must check out the " red house painters "superb band , amazing musicians all there albums are superbly produced and really well recorded
have two options open for my next box swap mission its either a set of cary set monos to try with me kora floorstanders which really take me fancy but the madness within has me heart set on a pair of dali skylines 2000 speakers to try with me aa maestro but the wife is already dressing the bed in the spare room at the mention of these speakers

Pleased to meet you Mick!
but the wife is already dressing the bed in the spare room at the mention of these speakers
Your wife is making a spare bed up for your new speakers? That's so sweet, bless her - hang onto that one Mick, mine would make me sleep in the shed! ;)

Thanks for the advice Mick, is it "Manafon" your talking about ?
Could you please advice a "best album" for the Red House Painters ?
For your options, If I was you, I would rather try new speakers than a new amplifier. Dali's are wonderful, but ... I see your wife's point...
There's no other speaker that pleases you ? *looking innocently at the ceiling* Sonus Faber ?
hi , try " song from a blue guitar " by the red house painters an amazing album if you like move onto the rest then your hooked addictive listerning
tried a few sonus fabers , concerto , grand pianos , signums , all very nice and amazing to look at but i found all three a little to coloured , owned the dali helicon 400 ,s about 6 months ago really nice speakers but found them a little to incoherant for my listerning still a very good speaker
the better half is generally very forgiving of my manic box swapping but any speaker with bass drivers over 8 inches generally prompts the look of total contempt , my last large floorstander a pair of hales concept 5,s with 10 inch bass drivers only had a living room life span of 4 weeks so the dali skylines with 15 inch bass drivers could be a new personal best , we will see !

Thanks -> one more hits the basket. :smoking:
the madness within has me heart set on a pair of dali skylines 2000 speakers
Are those the ones that 'Horace' is selling?... If so, I've heard them at their previous owners house a few times, fantastic! the asking price is a bit on the steep side for me though. ;)
Cheers...
