Just a quick introduction - long-time hi-fi fanatic, since student days back in the 70s, but these days able to afford the kind of gear and listening to the kind of audio nirvana I dreamt about, particularly now the digital era has made seriously high quality audio affordable if you know what to look for.
Current primary set-up:
Beresford Caiman II DAC
Naim NAP 100 power amp
PMC TB2i speakers
Digital inputs via Apple TV which in turn streams from my Mac-based iTunes library (>11,000 tracks, all either uncompressed or lossless rips from CDs and a number of LPs), Samsung Blu-ray player, Humax Freesat recorder and Samsung Smart TV (which, in turn, can access another library I have on Plex of recordings of BBC Proms from the last 3 years and other assorted recordings)
Also always been interested in recording music, and have a variety of mics (my favourites being a pair of Calrec mics purchased in the 1980s) and digital interfaces. I'd love to get out recording more live music, but work gets in the way!
