Hi guys :),

It is a little known fact that Stirling Broadcast manufactured the Rogers 60th Anniversary LS3/5a for Rogers under license to the BBC. They were very favourably reviewed in the May 2008 edition of HiFi News by Ken kessler and Keith Howard which can be accessed through google.

The MS-88 is factory built and tested by Stirling Broadcast and uses the same birch ply cabinets and Monacor and Scanspeak drivers as they used in building the Rogers 60th Anniversary LS3/5a with a modified LS3/5a crossover by Derek Hughes to achieve and even flatter response.

These are a factory built and tested matched pair (Serial No.s 00166A &00166B) in high quality and unmarked cherry veneer with high quality gold plated multiway bi-wirable terminals and are fitted with Tygan grilles.

They will be shipped in the original manufacturers double box packaging.

If like me you hankered after some early LS3/5as but were worried about the out of spec drivers and crossovers due to the material ageing processes, tatty cabinets and the high prices they can sell for on eBay then here is an opportunity to get a pair in as new condition at a reasonable price. I am looking for £395 plus £25 for shipping to UK mainland at which price IMHO they represent superb value.

Cheers

Chris
