Claymore, Claymore S, Claymore 2, IT amps, ID amps, Dirks, and Sabre 1 and 2 owners.

PCB converter I did for the new FET's works wonderfully, so now older Claymores, Claymore S, and Claymore 2's along with Dirks and the IT range of power amps and even the old ID A Class amps can have better FET's fitted.
You will only have to change on the main PCB a gate drive resistor to 270R one each on every FET a simple job if done with care and patients.

If anybody fancy fixing their own Inca Tech with these PCB's a set of 4 is £15.00 + p&p. ( oh and they are RED in colour)

Here for the brave a few circuit diagrams of the Circa 1979 - 1989 Claymore Amp.

The circuits are the same for both channels but the component are prefixed Rx`a` or Rx`b` i.e. R10a or R10b or C etc

There is two type one at 8 Amps and the other at 16 Amps, match pairs of complementary FET's.

You need both N and P channel

As you will see these is big difference to the old type below.

Interesting approach Colin. Is the little daughter board just to raise the FET further into the middle of the heatsink or does it help to prevent stress dry joints after many on/off heat cycles?

No it reverses the Drain and the Source of the FET's to comply with the original FET's.

Magnum owners

This tiny PCB will also allow Magnum owners to replace duff FET's for the new type.

Ideal for the MF250 and the A100 mono blocks and the 16 Amp FET's can be used on the A100 this will make them more tolerant to 2 ohm loads.
This can be used on H-Pak Fets from Hitachi.
The IRFP140 and the p channel IRFP9140 TO247 packages can also be used with these PCB's but the gate resistors will need to be 1K not 220R.

wish i still had this, a gem lost in the process of eternal improvements, yet to hear better
