Cary 572SE SET Triode Valve Monoblocks

Excellent condition. 2 spare pairs of brand new Svetlana SV572-3 valves included. Plus other spare valves as well.

All boxed and in A1 condition.

15wpc or so, but a mighty powerful 15 watts! :smoking: RCA inputs.

Wonderful power amps .... not really sure I want to sell them, but .... :)

6DN7 and 6SN7 input tubes, 5U4 rectifier and 572-3 power tube in each amp.

Happy to dem of course (GL17) but they won't sound quite at their best as my new Infinity ribbon hybrid speakers are a bit of a beast to drive, which is why I am considering selling these single-ended valve Cary's. Totally wonderful into a sensible speaker load like my old Leema Xaviers, though.

Fast, transparent, articulate, detailed - if you want the warm lushness of 'traditional' valve sound, then you are better off looking elsewhere!

Price is a straight £1000 plus courier fees including the 2 spare sets of power valves, which is a bit of a bargain as the extra valves cost me over £200 and the amp cost me £850 on eBay. Or you are welcome to come and collect (and have a dem!). Or we might be able to meet up. I'm in the vicinity of Birmingham / Bristol / Cardiff sort of area. GL17.

Swaps / px (anything hifi) also considered. :)

Thanks DSDL, but I'm very happy with my Yammie PF-800 tt and that has a non-interchangeable arm.

How about a swap for an 18month old Melody Astro Black 50? :)

Hi Mike :)

Thanks, but I think my Infinity speakers (especially that 12 inch woofer) like solid state control to keep it civilised. :( Nice looking amp, that Melody, though!

Any other offers folks? Cash is always acceptable! ;)

Nice amps Jerry:). But I can't help noticing that you have a TC-7510 wired up in the background, whilst your signature mentions a TC-7520;).

Hi Stan! :)

Yup, I have a 7510 mk3, a 7520 and a Caiman. :smoking: Very nice they all are, too!

.... I'd bet the Cary amps would go surprisingly well with your Yammie NS1000M speakers, Stan ;)

That reminds me that I have to send you a Caiman PSU to test and review since your opinion is widely trusted and you have one each of my DACs.

Yep, those glowing tubes would light up my perspex audio rack quite nicely:). And maybe even melt it...

They'd go well with mine too! :)

Even if they are 'Baboons arse red'! ;)

The Melody copes rather well with my 12" woofers! :eyebrows:

hmm - rather temped by these... I love my PP SoH amp but always wonder what a SET would do with my Tannoy's esp as I am going GRF (back loaded horns).
Siting them might be a bit of a problem - what are the dimensions?

I will sleep on it and with any luck someone else will have grabbed them so I don't have to perplex myself anymore:)

Hi Steve - yup, spot on. I completed a swap deal at the weekend. The Cary's are now with their happy new owner! :)
