FS: Upgraded Quad 34 Pre & Also a Quad 306 Power Amp

Hi guys, I have for sale a fully upgraded Quad 34 Preamp which previously belonged to Rob Holt the Quad guy PFM. The pre-amp comes with a power cable and the cable to connect up the pre-amp to the power amp which means you just switch off the pre-amp and that also switches off the power amp.

I bought it last December for £250 posted so would like that back or as near as.

Payment by cash on collection from Glasgow, or Bank Transfer only, no Paypal.

I modded the 34 pre-amp MC module so that I could use it with a Denon 103 that I had for a time and it sounded superb with the cart however I can put it back to the way it was or you could just buy another one from the likes of Ebay and keep this one for Carts like the 103, you can buy the MC modules on ebay for about £30 but there are three variants for different cart loadings.

I also have for sale a Quad 306 power amp which is in reasonable cosmetic condition however it sounds excellent, I would like £100 posted for this amp-Now Sold!

I would obviously prefer to sell both to the same buyer but I am prepared to split them.

"This was my personal Quad 34 and has been extensively rebuilt with:

- Fully rebuilt PSU
- CMOS 4066 ICs upgraded to socketed Maxim low impedance, low THD version.
- Line stages upgraded with OPA134/2134 devices.
- Film output caps.
- Upgraded coupling caps, some replaced with wire links where appropriate.
- Rebuilt phono stage with metal can LME49710HA devices (with PSU bypass caps). Very low noise.
- Improved low end extension on the phono stage.
- 1.5 output to suit most power amps

Comes with the optional MC card, plus upgraded MM card set to work with most Ortofon, AT and Goldring cartridges.

So about the highest spec 34 you'll find.

Andy, wiicrackpot, has loaned me a Pulse SRA 160 integrated, bargain amp for the money, going to buy one no phono stage though.

Great amps Barry not surprised at how quick the 306 sold, the 34 pre is very very good though and is frankly a bargain at the selling price.
