Ordered new on 28 July 2015 and delivered 7 days later.

In reality it’s probably got less than the 28 hours on it as the timer ran on whilst changing sides, selecting another LP from the rack etc. Inspection under a microscope shows the Superfine Line Contact Diamond stylus to be clean and sparkly (as you'd expect).

Apart from the time on it, it’s just as received and complete with the Nagaoka unopened accessories and data sheet. Needless to say, it's all mint.

A few pix:-

I'm looking for £365 for it. Google searches show UK prices to be around £600, imported from Thakker they're €617. Either way a good saving for something that isn't yet run in.

Collection is welcome from a B91 postal address (5 mins M42/J5) or I will post RM Next Day Delivery.

Look around for a vintage ADC 10E Mk.IV instead. That'd be an eye opener for you! (and cheaper)

Hi Bob.
As said above, an exemplary advert. May I ask what you used to take the excellent photos? Presumably, you have a macro lens, as I can't get that close and sharp with the standard lens on my Nikon D3000

Hello Peter, thank you for your kind comments.

I'd love to be able to say the pictures were taken with something exotic and expensive but the reality is something very humble and inexpensive.

http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee481/bob4333/Ricoh%20CX2/1.jpg (http://s1230.photobucket.com/user/bob4333/media/Ricoh%20CX2/1.jpg.html)

The Ricoh CX2 is something I bought quite a few years ago and it's one of those things that just seems to work, to the degree that other cameras get left at home whilst this just slips into my pocket without a moments thought. You can see how small and unassuming it is below - smaller than an audio cassette (I think that's the last one in the house)

http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee481/bob4333/Ricoh%20CX2/2.jpg (http://s1230.photobucket.com/user/bob4333/media/Ricoh%20CX2/2.jpg.html)

I like simple photography, with available light. I have to carry a spare battery with the Ricoh as when it dies the lens doesn't retract (major flaw).

http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee481/bob4333/Ricoh%20CX2/3.jpg (http://s1230.photobucket.com/user/bob4333/media/Ricoh%20CX2/3.jpg.html)

The other detract is having to dip through too many menu options to get a degree of manual control. But to be honest, the thing seems to "anticipate" what I want 99% of the time so what's to worry about? The camera's wake up time is pretty fast so you don't miss much.

http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee481/bob4333/Ricoh%20CX2/4.jpg (http://s1230.photobucket.com/user/bob4333/media/Ricoh%20CX2/4.jpg.html)

The stylus and cantilever pic was taken with a USB Microscope - which at £12.21 delivered I ordered with fairly low expectations, thinking I'd just just junk it if the image was all splattery and blurry. I bought it after watching Michael Freemer's video on TT set up but he used a version costing around £300-£400 . Imagine my surprise when I could actually see a clear image!!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261911411324?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

It even comes with measurement software to facilitate setting VTA! I went for the 25-200 zoom range and you can imagine depth of field is quite shallow. The stand that comes with it wobbles around all over the place, so the task now is to create something that will hold the unit in a rigid manner. The plan then is to get scientific about VTA setting rather than just the "Horizontal Tonearm approach".

Apologies - I ramble.

(Oh, the camera that took the Ricoh shots is a Canon EOS 60D, using a Canon 16-35 f2.8L lens).

That's very kind of you to say so Jamie and thanks for a straightforward, fuss free sale. I'm pleased it's gone to someone who'll appreciate it, and the headache inducing trauma of set up has now passed into history.

I guess I'm back on the speculative cartridge hunt now then..........................
