Well today is quite a sad day i'm saying goodbye to my Rogers LS7 after 8 years of good service :( All good things must come to an end. Being replaced by something special :eek:

SO this thread about about stuff thats gone but you miss anyway have this feeling over what they have let go in the past , present :)

my denon POA 2400 power amp.
never got the brute to sing due to its typical jap delivery, a bit cold and matter of fact.
maybe I never drove it hard enough to even get the case warm...200wpc into 8 ohm, 400 into 4 and about 700 into 2!!!

finally sold to a forum member but I do miss the brooding kit presence....and scaring the kids with the wick up.

The LS7's were fine but a bit loose in the bass - a left-over from their distant 'BBC style' heritage. Hope their replacement will take the bass to higher realms without messing up the nice midrange you've been used to :)

Tannoys ATM Dave I know I Know They Suck You in There Like a Dyson :) I had them for 8 years not used them for 8 months so time was to move them on new owner is a classical teacher obsessed with the BBC heritage on the LS7's or other rogers models i got my money back what i payed for them..Slightly tired condition. Also just bought a pair of Tannoy 615's Nice...

Umm Ok. Not my favourite Tannoy range I'm afraid. Just get some bloody DC2000 or DC3000's from around this time. Proper naughty speakers these without going to the cachet laden paper cone models ;)

The sixes series were quite well liked Dan. not tried them myself though. Initially I thought mine to be part of the same series but they arent apparently and are really renumbered uk versions of the definition series that were done in walnut.

Just get some bloody DC2000 or DC3000's from around this time.

I don't like these much Dave. The base DC1000 model images better, but the 6 series are less coloured and offer better mid depth.

My first real 'Hi-Fi amp.' was a Sony TA1010.
Superbly built...
It would be good to have it back and Try it with my Spendor BC1s.
These days they are driven from a Sony TA-F6B amp. I bought from an AOS Member.
