I've got a Cambridge Audio Azur Dacmagic that I'm about to sell. Haven't decided on the price, but it's going to be around the £100-£120 mark.

Hi Alan,

you could get a new Beresford Caiman II for not much more than that at the moment. I believe Stan offers a money back guarantee if there isn't a night and day difference between the Caiman II and other DACs. I've not heard one myself but the Bushmaster II is very good with the latest firmware.

Hopefully I'll be able to compare the Caiman II with Rega DAC in about a month or so.

Alan for £200 I would highly recommend a used Rega Dac. I had one for a while and they are superb... :)

audiolab Q-DAC is reduced to £200 at the moment ..... well worth the punt (I did - and it was)

Yeah.I've been looking at this one...got a lot of the components from the mDac..allegedly..and yep...I can get one for £199.00...this could be the toy...but i'll hang on a while and see what else comes up...

Could be interested in an Audiolab M-dac...If you twist my arm with vigour and make me spend a bit more...if the price was keen enough... :whistle:

Don't overlook the cheapest DacMagic 100 - it's actually rather good and Martin Colloms rated it as better than the DacMagic.

Having heard the MDAC Alan versus my Rega I found the audiolab to be a bit dry.

Very good but the Rega had more music for me.
