hi my music streamer/dac has analogue outputs along with a digital and optical output my amp that it will be connected too has all 3 aswell, the streamer handles my 24 bit 192 files, what connections are recommended, the amp is an onkyo sr608 powering my newly acquired mission 752s, if listening to music I tend to have it on pure audio more so on my hi res files or if listening to sacds whats peoples thoughts on analogue connections

I would try both connections and see which you prefer, what streamer is it? is it better than your amp which appears to be a budget home cinema receiver.

it's a simple audio room player that I picked up before they went out of business, haven't tried it yet, the 608 does have a fairly decent bur brown 24bit 192 dac but think that's bypassed when in pure audio, been using my pioneer bmp dac on dnla
to play my current files but the bmp has no user interface hence the streamer coming into play
