Another part of my clear out. This is a 12 inch Ortofon tonearm, made by Alfred Gerd Bokrand, a German engineer living in Spain. His tonearms have a great reputation, being better value than the Thomas Schick 12 inch and preferred by some in terms of sound quality.

Based on the AS-212 tonearm, this is rebuilt by Mr Bokrand with new bearings, a new tonearm tube (containing a balsa wood fillet to damp tonearm resonance) and new wiring. He is no longer able to do any more, as the supply of new bearings has run out.

I bought this from a Wammer (Bikerboy) a couple of years ago for my Garrard 401 project, which just hasn't happened. Hence it has just been sitting in my cupboard since then. It comes with extra counterweights suitable for a SPU. Please note that there is no headshell or tonearm cable with this. It comes with the protractors and Mr Bokrand's own sandwich like packing, which is very secure.

Given my new penchant for 15 IPS R2R tape, this is just going to languish in my cupboard. I would like £475 for this. Happy to post for a tenner, but the buyer is welcome to collect from Cheltenham.
