Safely removing polythene from LP cover

I've just today taken delivery of an item I won on ebay - Floyd's "Echoes" 4 x LP box set.

It is still sealed in the polythene cover, but I can see it appears to have bonded to the cardboard LP slipcase.

I have had this before, and when removing the poly, it has pulled the glaze from the LP cover.

Any suggestions on how I can safely remove it?

not had that. i would imagine moistening the small area where its stuck till the bond releases then drying with a warm iron would be the best option
