As some of you know i blew my sony 700es amp up b running 2 pair of ditton 44's through it,i dropped it ff today to be fixed.(fingers crossed).
In the meantime ive bought an old nad 160 as a stop gap,it comes from a time when they went by their full name,New Acoustic Dimensions,im picking it up in an hour so will post pics then.
Here's the same model on ebay,i paid £30 for mine,i think this sellers living in la la land!

Been lurking for this series for a long time - I was the original winning bidder for that unit but the seller refused to post it. I was realy pissed but I'm now at least glad it went to a fellow member! :)

A very classy lokking bit of kit, that. I take it that it doesn't give your Sony any sleepless nights?

It's not bad at all,i love the wooden surround, very well made and veneered in walnut.can't wait to get the Sony back though as it's no where near it Martin.

Great old amp I remember. Not a huge amount of bass control but makes up for it with boundless enthusiasm by the bucketload and a lovely 'musical' quality that at the time was most refreshing after the tight-arsed, over feedbacked and sterile sounding Jap amps of the period post 1975 IMO. lovely :)

I could be very wrong, but I have an idea that the Model 60 integrated sort-of morphed into the 3030, another well liked amp in traditional coal-black NAD livery, which pre-dated the famous 3020 and 3140 models. I'm afraid I don't know if the tuner section evolved into the equally good matching tuner (4020?). UK distribution changed a bit in the late 70's IIRC so dealers changed too.

i nearly bought the 3030 from the same lady owner, lovely vu meters but missed the end of the auction, she then offered me the 160.
