Be careful, had that itch and it turned into a rash! Really wasn't what I expected from it.
There's a nice Bel Canto here and that is pretty damn good.

If ur looking for a DAC that sounds like a benchmark u may also wanna consider this

A bit analytically forced, there was too much concentration on the detail rather than a detailed musical flow to the sound. A monitoring type sound. I know a few people who enjoy one very much but they love to analyse recordings and play only the very best recordings possible.

Hmmm, good to know. I'm normally inclined towards more musicality than dry detail retrieval myself.

I did hear one not too long ago acting as a pre to my amps and found it quite lush in fact.

A more detailed investigation may be required.

Well, if one matched ur amps just right then that should be the only evidence required to make an informed decision :)
