Selling a pair of NVA A40 mono-blocks, latest MKII version. http://www.nvahifi.co.uk/a40-monoblock-amplifiers

In very good condition and fully working, being black acrylic there are a few minor marks but these cannot be seen under normal lighting. A right pain to photograph!

£340 (collection or £10 for delivery) a billy bargain!

Many thanks, of course an NVA passive would be ideal. However you can drive them directly with a source that has a varible output which you cannt do with the MK1 version.

Don't forget to use the recommended speaker cable with these amps.

A Tisbury will get you going, but now I have a P50 with the NVA power amps in my workroom, I think the sound has stepped up a bit further. My other power amps seem to like the P50 too and there's no shortage of gain available :)

Re speaker cables. I have used to separate lengths per channel of stranded wire as 'test' cables with no issues at all, but the LS5 I use does sound so much better - and not just with the NVA's either...

NVA are selling some traded in wires at the moment on the other forum. Some LS3 would be a good choice and a bargain at that reduced price. I've pm'd Steve a link.

As Dave says the LS5 I have really brought out the best in these amps and having it made up for biwire was worth the little extra to be done with rubbish speaker jumpers. I think Steve has edingdales which are biwireable so that would ultimately be the way to go for the little extra cost.

Thanks for the pm rich may try my mark grants first as they are a very neutral cable also low capacitance as well which is what Mr Dunn recommends.I may try the ls3 as well funds permitting also may come and listen to your icon audio.I have been thinking for a while that having an amp for each speaker would ease the load on my speakers and provide a cleaner sound also having a passive pre would allow the sound signature of the nva's to come through oh no I've got upgraditis is there no cure perhaps a lottery win and a couple of million in my bank account wishfull thinking
