Hi guys, I've decided to sell my Technics deck due to downsizing.
I bought the deck here from Audio Al on AOS and according to him the deck was bought new by him in August 2008 (think I have the receipt) and was never used for a few years due to his personal circumstances and was kept boxed and stored he then used it for about two years, in stock form, before selling it too me, it has never been used as a DJ deck by me or by the previous seller.
The deck was in near mint condition and it also comes with the lid, the lid has a few marks and scratches (not done by me), and there is also genuine Technics box incl the packaging but the box is from an SL-1210 which Allen bought at the time along with the SL-1210 from another AOS forum member and he then used that box to send me the SL-1200.
I did the PSU mod (removed the onboard power supply) and I also replaced the stock arm too.
The deck comes with the basic Timestep PSU, which cost me £150 when I bought the deck, however I believe that you can use any other off-board PSU but you may have to mod the deck's PCB to do this, sounds fine with the TS PSU to my ears though.
The deck also has the following, Micro Seiki MA-202 tonearm and Micro Seiki HA-202 removable headshell with a Denon 103 inc Isokinetic 3 gramm weight and new tonearm cable (see below), ebony arm-board, Technics Achromat, Isonoe feet and Techniboots so simply plug this lot into your into your system and play a record with no faffing about.
I'm happy to spilt everything if there's no interest for the entire package however I would much prefer to sell the set-up to one buyer with collection preferred but I've priced each component seperately however priority will go to anyone buying the whole package.
I am of course open to sensible offers on everything in this advert but I have priced this deck to sell 'as is' and it really is a kean price, I think, and also it's a great opportunity for someone to get into the modded Technics thing without all of the hassle of buying and trying out individual components.
The deck sounds very good, I think, and I'm sure that who ever buys it would be more than happy with it, as I have been these past couple of years.
I've priced up what I've spent on the entire set-up which is close to £1300.00 but realistically I am going to price the deck as complete package at £950 plus UK postage of about £30 which includes £2.5k of insurance with RMSD or you can of course arrange your own courier and I'll have it ready for collection.
I'm happy to post the complete package or any individual item abroad but please ask first for postal costs.
No Paypal, however I'm happy to accept bank transfer, a cleared personal cheque or cash on collection from me here in Glasgow.
Near mint Technics SL-1200 MK2 inc lid and box but no arm or cart but with Timestep PSU @ £450 plus postage.
Near Mint Mirco Seiki MA-202 arm & Micro Seiki HA-202 headshell, also included is the original Micro Seiki supplimentary tonearm weight which is hard to find and pretty rare, and also included too is the original Micro Seiki tonearm cable but there is a fault with the cable connector however I'll include it for completeness (I also have the set up template and manual for the arm) @ £350 plus postage
There's also a modern tonearm cable included with the MS arm above which I bought to replace the old MS cable, it's just a budget cable that I bought from e-bay but I believe it's one of Yiannis Tome's (sp) cables.
Denon 103 MC cart with Isokinectic weight glued to the top of the cart @ £80 plus postage. I've no idea of hours on the cart but I believe it was new when I bought it but that's only a guess on my part it does sound great however.
Speedy Steve ebony armboard for Micro Seiki arms including fittings and set up guide @ £90 plus postage.
Timestep Basic MK1 PSU in good condition with decent connecting cable @ £100 plus postage
Technics Achromat with lip for the Technics stock platter @ £70 plus postage
