Next time you are passing by.......we are coming up to sausage making season. Our friends run a farm and the pigs is ready!! Herbs, oats and minmum 90% rough minced pork. The sausage machine is a bit rude though!! I leave that to Ronnie and just like watching her:eyebrows:

I usually get Asda's extra special Pork & caramelised red onion, 80% meat (but I'd rather not know what bits of the pig I'm getting...)

I do try and avoid mush
But the carnivore in me takes over sometimes
I will be OK now for a couple of months
Meat + If I can see what it is I will eat it , If its mush normally I dont
I make my own burgers from chunks of meat through my Kenwood Chef mincer it comes with 3 sets of blades , course medium and fine

Those Richmond sausages have a low meat percentage http://richmondsausages.co.uk/sausage-range/12-thin/ , just 42% pork. Look in the ingredients list. I won't be buying them again.

Tried some of these today, and they're really tasty http://www.debbieandandrews.co.uk/our-food/butcher-s-classic-pork-sausages
Going to Tesco tomorrow; will see if they have arrived North of the border.....like my snorkers:)

Those look nice, but the best plan is usually to avoid supermarkets altogether and buy sausages direct from a (good quality) independent butcher. That way, the meat content will always be high, and if you ask him, you'll know exactly what's in them and where the meat came from :)
Honestly, do that and they'll piss all over anything pre-packaged you'll find in a supermarket - and they'll probably be cheaper, too! ;)

Got a pack of them today; well the Lincolnshire version at same 82% meat. Had a couple in brown bread this afternoon.. very nice sausage. they had some at 90+ % but were a bit dearer, so tried these ones first.... I would get them again.
Nice one. I'm really fussy about sausages, and hate the cheapy varieties, full of fat and dodgy innards, etc. It's got to be organic and the highest meat content possible, for me. You can't beat a good Lorne sausage, though! :)
Marco.
