Having a bit of a clear-out.

First up is a vintage (my estimate is later 80s/early 90s) Ortofon SPU GE cartridge - that’s the vintage SPU moving coil cartridge body, in the ‘SME’ fit G-shell, with the elliptical stylus introduced in the 1960s. Unlike the later GME MKII, this is identical to the vintage ones, only made later, so you get the vintage sound without the risk of dried up suspension etc. It looks and sounds fantastic with no rust or paint flaking on the shell. £385 including RMSD in the UK (add £10 for elsewhere in the EU). BT or PPG.

Ortofon Samba moving coil cartridge, I did a swap for this on AoS, when it arrived it was in near-new condition and I’ve only used it minimally (a few dozen sides at best) on my Dual 701 in the study. I did give it a shake in the main system into the Vida/Radford/Tannoys and it sounded stunning, in fact I was wondering how they can possibly call this an entry level MC, it was sweet when it needed to be, it rocked, and it had a fine way with detail. It has a reasonable 0.3mV output, medium compliance (so fits a wide range of arms) and a nude elliptical stylus so tracks very well indeed. I really should stick this away for emergencies, but it’s too good for that so offering it at just £90 posted in the UK. (Add £10 for elsewhere in EU and BT or PPG for payment).

Audio Technica AT-630 step-up transformer. I had forgotten I had this. Surprisingly good quality step-up for running MC cartridges into MM input. 28db / 1:14 step-up which is bang on for the Ortofon Samba or SPU in fact, outputting 2.8mv and 4.2mv respectively, a fine match for most MM phono stages. Offered at £95 including UK postage (Add £10 for elsewhere in EU. BT or PPG for payment).

Moth record cleaning machine, this is an old kit version, and though well made it has seen some use over the years. It works really well, though could probably do with a fresh set of velvet pads for the wand (available from Moth for the princely sum of £5 for pack of 4). £125 collection only from GU47 (though I’d prefer payment by BT or PPG as it’s all going in the bank towards something specific).

Orelle XTC DC-blocking mains cable. Useful if you have DC on the mains, which causes transformer hum particularly with toroids. Does the same as the box/cable MCRU are currently charging lots more for, though arguably their cable is more flash. £75 posted in the UK. (Add £10 for elsewhere in EU. BT or PPG for payment).

M2Tech Hi-Face USB-SPDIF interface (converter) - allows a non-USB DAC to be used with a USB source such as a laptop. The original white one. £50 including UK postage. (Add £5 for elsewhere in EU. BT or PPG for payment).

Quad 33/303 pre-power combo in nice condition. Original and unmolested, with power cables and interconnects including pre-power interconnect and RCA-DIN adapter cable for source. £185 including UK postage. (Heavy, so add £15 for elsewhere in EU. BT or PPG for payment).

No offers at the mo as all these prices are extremely sensible (I know some people just can’t help themselves) though admittedly it’s the middle of the hols so it’s possible it’ll be a bit slow.

Some pics (others to follow in daylight)

You don't ever come up the M40 do you? I'd be interested in the RCM but collection might be a problem.

Pics of the Quad 303/33 combo as you can see it's rather nice - cables included are 1 x mains, 1 x piggyback (can be a mains cable if you fit a mains plug, this one functions as an 'on' switch for the power amp when you plug it into the preamp), 1 x 4-pin DIN connector between pre and power, and 2 x RCA - 5 pin din adapters for sources (one on a cable, the other a double plug).

AT step-up transformer also still available, everything else has now sold (indeed, it's all now left the building).
