'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' is far, far worse.

For that 'other' 60s group, I nominate 'Goin' Home', a harmless enough little song stretched out to over 11 minutes, with Jagger mumbling away in his faux-soul singer voice.

I quite like that ditty of a song too.... just goes to show how tastes differ:)

You should have discounted the Beatles, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

What about Dire Strait's 'Les Boys'? I bet no one who listens to Making Movies plays side 2 all the way to the end.

Eric Clapton: 'Wonderful Tonight'

Rolling Stones - 'Their Satanic Majesties' - yes, the whole album.

That Cream song on Disraeli Gears about the baby going down the plughole.

I agree with those except the one in bold... I think that is an amazing album.

Maybe I should revisit it but I do have recollections of a self indulgent wank-fest.

Here's a controversial one for you: Red Hot Chilli Peppers - 'Under The Bridge'

ELP - Brain Salad Surgery - Benny the Bouncer

That's the best thing on the album!! You are in bad need of a taste transplant:lol:. Beatles!! Stones - just a poor attempt to outdo Pepper!. Ye gods, I don't know wot de woild is coming to.

I'd like to nominate 'Dogs of War' by Pink Floyd off the album 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason'.

'Sun In The Night' by Brand X from the album 'Moroccan Roll'. One of their best albums but surely not an opening track...?

Yes good one. The last track is a bit naff too, except for the solo.
