Anyone tried a DL-301 MKII into a Croft Micro?

I'm searching for a new cartridge and the DL-301 MKII has come highly recommended. I've heard some needle drops and I really like the way it sounds, my only concern is whether it has enough output for the MM stage in my Croft Micro 2. If anyone has tried one into the MM stage of a Croft I'd be grateful for your input.

A rebodied dl103 might be another options, they work well on 301's, so there is no reason to suggest it wouldn't be the same on the 401.

Marco brought his Techie with Dl-103 installed round the other day and it just didn't work as well in my system as it does in Marco's. In my system the 103 just doesn't do it for me.

I wouldn't have though you would have a problem with a 10:1 SUT in front, the Micro is quite high gain as far as MM stages go.

Thanks Alan, are you saying that on paper the 301 would require a SUT for the Croft?

You will need a step-up transformer or head-amp for either of the Denon MCs, into the MM input of the Croft.

The Denons have approx 0.5 mV output. The Croft needs approx 10 x that, as do any MM inputs.
