Hi guys, I need some track ideas for my wedding reception. It is going to be a pretty chilled out affair, picnic by the river from quite early so not everything has to be with dancing in mind although it is still a party and to be honest with my family and friends they'll probably a few getting on it.

The kind of tracks I've got so far are quite varied and I like that.

A lot of Rock n Roll, Etta James, Chuck Berry....(Gaz's Rockin' Blues)
Bobby Womack - Across 110th street is one of my favourite party tracks
Duran Duran - Ordinary World
Leonard Cohen - First We Take Manhattan
Echo & the Bunnymen - The Killing Moon
Daft Punk
The Big Bopper
Cat Stevens - Can't Keep it in
Demis Rossoue
Ocean Colour Scene
Rickie Lee Jones - Chuck E's in Love
Claude Von Stroke - Who's Afriad of Detroit (later on in proceedings)


I just want some decent tunes which are good fun.

There are some fantastic tracks on this album,especially for weddings. the De burgh track in fact was my wedding dance. the cd was so popular that the dj stole it..*Bas***d!!;)

Since you seem to have no aversion to R&B, how about "Knock On Wood" by Eddie Floyd? It's a _little_ raucous, but really fun.

Fantastic, thank you guys.

John, I'm using that one, great album. Have you ever been to his club night? He's always there and is a really nice bloke. He came and sat with us, shared his merchandise with us and was telling us about Desmond Dekker's as he'd been to his funeral earlier that day.

Christian, I used to go back in the 1980s.....amazed, although not surprised that it's still on every week in Soho.

Gaz also hosts the Rocket Lounge in Shangri-la at Glastonbury, which is a regular haunt for us on the Weds and Thursday for ska, rock-steady, rockabilly etc.......home of rather strong Mojitos.

Play your guests Lovely Day by Bill Withers, it's a cracker.
