NOW SOLD

Selling my Orbe platter as I want the standard "spinning weights" Gyro platter on my deck.
Purely for the looks...this is anti-audiophile I know, but hey, what can you do? :)
Having heard and compared both, I know going back to the Gyro platter I'll take a hit in sound quality, but all other Gorbe upgrades done, so that's ok.

If you've upgraded the stock clamp to the Orbe one (if not you should), here's a chance to upgrade your Gyro further with the Orbe platter.

The full Orbe platter upgrade kit (with clamp) retails for £419 delivered.

The platter is unavailable to buy new, but based on above costs £321.

Platter in great condition, there is one very slight dink on the top edge, (see photo) which cant be seen unless your inches away from it, and is covered when you put an LP on.
This is reflected in the price, looking for:
£195+delivery (firm)

Thanks. :)

+1 The weights are cool.

I've heard these platters are better though, good luck with the sale. I always wanted this platter when I had my Gyro SE.

Yeah, the Orbe platter gives a noticable bump in sound quality Jo.

You will hear a difference. The Orbe Platter is substantially better than the Gyro...

Bought the Gyro platter and directly compared them in my setup Neal, as with everything compared it can be a trade off what you gain what you lose, and the Gyro platter did it for me.
Orbe platter is *better* particularly in the bass, but the Gyro platter in my setup has a "life" about it which i like.
Different flavours of the same deck I guess, and I'd be fibbing if I said the visual aspect of it never played a part too. :)
