Just joined so hoping to source plenty of views. I bought my first piece of proper hi fi kit in 1989 and it was a Linn Axis Turntable with an Akito arm. I also bought an Arcam Alpha 2 amp and a pair of AR speakers. The speakers are long gone but the turntable is still going strong and I still have the Arcam although I don't use it.

I'm waiting for my Orbe SE with Rega arm and Bronze cartridge to be delivered on Saturday and set up by my Hi Fi dealer so that's the first upgrade to the turntable in 26 years. I currently have a Cyrus CD8 SE and separate Cyrus Power supply, Music Fidelity 3.2 Integrated Amp and Monitor Audio Gold floor standing speakers.

Next purchase will be a separate phono stage.

Cheers
Peter

Welcome aboard Pete. Sure you'll get plenty of options if you ask for any. There are a few orbe owners here who will point you in tge right direction

A serious welcome Peter. Cheshire cheese is one of my alltime favourites, along with a nice French Shiraz.

Hi Barry, I listen to most things, started going to gigs in 1974 so was into rock and progressive stuff. Went through the punk stage, but only listening!! Clash, 999 etc. I have a liking for Irish music and artists including folk so The Frames, Glen Hansard, Fruupp, Horslips, Planxty, Bothy Band, Paul Brady, Kate Rusby, Flook although they're not Irish. Will listen to acoustic artists, pop and some jazz. Bit of everything really apart from C&W although I like Lyle Lovett.
