Powerful Adhesive.

Not strictly Hi-Fi I know, but so useful. I've had to repair a few items recently and bought some 'Super Crylic' adhesive by Deluxe. Their claim is that if it can't be glued with Super Crylic, then it probably can't be glued at all.

I've just repaired a broken parcel shelf in a car. Bonded a bit of paxolin board across the break and now it's stronger than new. I have an acrylic cartridge body with a crack in it and I'm going to bond it with this adhesive. I reckon it will be strong enough.

It's a two pack 50/50 mix in use and sets in minutes. Being rock hard after an hour and getting steadily harder as time goes by. Items to be glued are best clamped together, to mate the faces firmly.

This stuff is wickedly strong! You could bond amplifier cases together with it or glue T nuts into speaker baffles. It has an awful lot of potential for HI-Fi applications.

I paid £16.99 for a small pack (some places are asking three times that) and it's worth every penny.

Sounds like a stickier situation than the time 'Sticky' the Stick Insect got stuck to a sticky bun.

Usually use Araldite 50/50 epoxy but curing time drives me nuts so definitely wanging in an order - cheers for the tip off ;)

Don't think you'll be disappointed Mike. It seems stronger than Araldite. I've only done a few jobs with, but it's been brilliant so far.

Could be used for gluing a stylus in place, always makes the best of any given cartridge and who buys replacement stylus these days?

You can also put some on the rear panel of you TT and stick it on a wall , saves buying a TT shelf

I've been told that Gorilla Glue is also very good.... I don't know as I've never used it as I have nothing to 'stick' at the moment...:D

You could always break something and then try some ;)

I usually stick to using gorilla wood glue.....

I don't have 2 gorillas so can't try sticking them together :(
