Now that I have bought a Studer A807/II from Josie (Black Adder)), my Revox A77 Mk III 2 Track is surplus to requirements. This is a German made A77 from about 1973. It is 2 track standard speed i.e. 3.75 & 7.5 IPS.

I bought this about 5-6 years ago from a R2R collector in Leatherhead, who is a sound engineer. He had 60 R2R decks in his personal collection at his home inc a Studer A80 with metering bridge. It was supplied to me serviced and has had barely 10 hours since then, as I bought it to transcribe some old 1970s 3.75 IPS R2R tapes. They were my late Grandfather's audio diary, which I transferred to CD for my Grandmother, who has since passed away.

This week I have used it again to check and it seems fine. Heads look fine and the machine is in excellent cosmetic condition for its age. It still has its original Revox green tag with the serial number. It will be supplied with the Revox mains cord and a pair of standard NAB adaptors. Of course, the remote control plug is present (as you may not be able to use it if it's absent). There are no reels supplied with this machine.

As this weighs at least 15kg unpacked, I would prefer collection from Cheltenham GL53, but I will be willing to pack and ship this (inc overseas if required). Shipping is unlikely to be cheap given the size and weight.

Please find some pics enclosed. I would like GBP 285 for this please.

Charlie

These machines in virgin condition WILL need service as presets can crumble for example, irrespective of mechanical wear and tear as some will have by now. If serviced as this one is, they're great vintage machines, Just use them with respect and wait for the reels to stop moving when going from wind into play ;)

OK, time to make room and declutter. Last reduction to £200. I would much rather it went to someone on the forum, otherwise it will go onto the *bay.
