Hi Folks,

I'm looking for some Mark Grant G1000HD or G1500HD cables to use between a dac and amp. Stereo pair up to 1m long please.

Failing that has anyone got anything "similar" in terms of quality & price going unused in a cupboard looking for a new home.

look forward to hearing from ya.

cheers

Ben

I think new they are £50 to £65 so something less than that ideally.

It's one I made up for myself. It sounds very nice. I keep a stock of this and other decent cables. There are a few members here using these made by me.

I've just listed a lovely pair of Klotz MC 5000 / MS Audio interconnects in the classifieds, could be of interest?

Had some good offers so far but want to hold out a bit yet in the hope that someone has some mg cables on offer.

Thanks to everyone who has posted so far.......but the search continues at least for a bit longer.

Ben if you can push your budget go for Mark Grant's G2000HD cables... they are fantastic...;)

Looking at your system I am sure you will get the benefit of Mark Grant cables a little bit further up the range...

Thanks Marty,

I am also still weighing up Pete's shorter MG cables as well.

In the mean time please let me know if anyone else has anything MG related particularly anything "higher up the food chain".

Can any one enlighten on the difference between the G1000HD and 1500 cables please?

G1500HDs:

"The raw cable is the same as in the G1000HD but has been terminated with Neutrik Profi NF2C-B/2 RCA Phono connectors with high quality solder and my expert assembly, this provides a noticable improvement in many high end systems."

G1000HDs:

"The connectors are Canare phono RCA (Canare part number RCAP-C53). They are crimped so no solder is used."

Ben the same goes for Mark's G2000HD's....WBT Cu..(copper) connector

"The Raw cable is the same as in the G1000HD but has been terminated with WBT NextGen 0110 Cu connectors with high quality solder and my expert assembly"

And then near the top of Mark's range is the G2000HD's WBT Ag (silver) connector

"The Raw cable is the same as in the G1000HD but has been terminated with WBT NextGen 0110 Ag connectors with high quality solder and my expert assembly"

Hope Mark doesn't mind me quoting from his website..

I've tried the G1500HD then the G2000HD WBT Cu's then the G2000HD WBT Ag's.... I found a huge improvement as you move up Mark's range of interconnects....

Hope that helps some... :)

Thanks Nina

The G1000hd Pete kindly posted me arrived today and seems initially v good, if a 1500 can up a the right price I'd give it a go but would probably have to draw the line there.
