I think you will find that pumps are not able to dispense a single litre. But you're right - it implies that you have to put in multiples of 10 litres. Anyway, I always put in a fixed amount in pounds when I fill up.

me too... been using tesco as i can get 20p a litre off the price every month taking it down to 95p... alas this deal is stopping next month butti have taken advantage for a long time. must have cost them a fortune

Chaps, supermarket fuel is shit, and indeed a false economy! Speak to any knowledgeable mechanic about the subject, and you'll be shocked at what they have to say ;)

I just stick in whatever tbh. mostly Tesco's. its usually cheapest and closest as I'm there anyways for shopping. Not had any problems so far. TBH I dont do much mileage now ....3k ave a year used to nearly do that a week :lol:

Just filled up the Amazon with petrol but for the first time diesel was cheaper than petrol, that was in Weymouth.... I can't remember the last time diesel was cheaper than petrol... very odd

If flush then a 3d pack of crisps with that wee round bag of salt(Smiths). Funny but such things were a real treat when I was young but kids now take it as read they get all the crisps and sweets they can eat now. Shows the financial difference in the country then.

The original sherbet dip (or dab) was a bag of sherbet with a toffee sort of lolly that was dipped in. The one with the licorice tube was a sherbet fountain.

Agreed. The diesel Jaguar was one of the saddest moments in British motoring history. And there's been afew!

good modern diesels are superb. might not have initial burst of speed but better torque...need to be doing heavy mileage to make it worth the trouble and cost. petrol is still cleaner.

Wifey likes her diesel Leon, only 5 maybe 7k miles per annum but it's torque means it's a lazy drive rather than the Rev mad Honda that lives in the garage.

I didn't think you had enough body kit to be mistaken for a drug dealer. Usually they have the full skirts and spoiler. If you can still drive over speed humps then you're fine....

Full skirts and (discrete) spoiler - tick! I can *just* make it over speed bumps... The car is very 'snug' on the road, though (lowered sports suspension)... :eyebrows:
