Q for moderators... Why this obsession with photos? I came up across this the other week when I tried an IC on an integrated amp. It is really inconvenient to have to maybe go in the loft to get a piece of kit, give it a dust, take photos and post them on here just to see if anyone is remotely interested in such an item... obviously if anyone replies "yes I've been looking for one of these, pictures please" then it is necessary.... just saying... :)

This 'interest check' is virtually a full sales post: a description has been given and an asking price quoted. Hence some photos are required. :)

An interest check is pretty much the same thing when all said and done and if people dont have to put pics up for them the board will soon be filled with pictureless ads. precisely what we dont want. it is surely no hardship in this day and age to pop a picture into the ad.

It is if the item in question is in the loft covered in spiders webs and dust and requires the loan of ladders just to get it down and an hour or so's work to clean it up and check it out..... Personally I would prefer to know if there was at least anyone interested in purchasing a particular item before going this far....

All done. I went to work in a hurry this morning and didn't have time to sort pictures. As you can see i have put a couple up there now. Really sorry about that. I thought i had some pictures already but iv'e had to take some new ones.

Yeah yeah... this isn't ebay. If someone's got something from the "evil empire", Salisbury and Glasgow branches, they can be pretty sure it will sell so long as the price is right. If it's something rather more obscure or vintage it is helpful to know whether or not there is anyone out there even remotely interested before going to all the trouble of finding it (yes I've got that much kit stashed in obscure places!), cleaning it and posting photos... that's all. No big deal.
