I don't know about the rest of you but I was very shocked re what happened at the Bannockburn off slip - near Stirling.

It beggars belief that the accident that has now cost two people their lives went un-logged and un-investigated by the police, until another report three days after the first was checked out. The horror of this is awful, especially as one of those in the crash might have survived had the police checked this out when the first call came in. For two people to lie in a car, not in the middle of nowhere, for three days is awful.

I can't begin to imagine how the families feel :(

I know that part of the world well and that part of the road is really busy, even on a Sunday, others must have seen the crash, but didn't report it. I think this is a sobering event that means any of us seeing something should report, not assume someone else has or will.

Yeah. I thought that was bad. Poor girl.

The police just seem to cock things up left right and centre these days.

Have not heard anything and its not all that far away from me/ 1/2hr on the motorway. seems odd, but can only assume the cars ended up off the road and as you say everyone thought everyone else had reported it.

Edit: seems it was reported but the officer did not pass the details to anyone:doh: he is apparently still on duty, which I find bizarre. Although not called in as an emergency it still should have been followed up ......

I heard a little of a radio 2 programme today and the guy who called in to the police was being crucified for not stopping at the time, didn't hear it all but it may not have been ok for him to stop and he maybe thought a call to the emergency services would be best, sad for all involved though.

Indeed, it's simply awful.

The Police have been getting cuts left, right and center... it wouldn't shock me if it gets put down to cuts too. Passing the monkey.

Awful news, so sad and very shocking indeed.
