Vintage 8" Full Range Alnico Speaker Units

A pair of rather nice vintage alnico magnet 8" twin cone full range Eagle 8A-7 drive units, believed to be manufactured by Coral. They are good quality speakers. I believe they date from the late sixties. They have highish sensitivity and 8ohm impedance. For their age they are in pretty decent condition. Cones are perfect and they work as they should. Very good sound quality. These are rare!

I have a interesting experiment lined up for them which is to drop them carefully into my Auditorium 23 Solovox in place of the excellent PHY-HP. If they sound OK perhaps build a Open Baffle for them. I am sure the PHY-HP drivers are much better but for £25 its a quick experiment. Also it looks like the mounting holes will line up, if not I will save them for a OB or offer them to Grant.
