I am after a short length of solid core speaker cable to make some un-terminated jumper length leads to go between my amps and speakers. - as seen below:

Good choice on EB Speakers Kevin ---- Steve is a gent ----- I'm not sure if you've heard this before but they work exceptionally well with Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable too --- worth experimenting with ( you may already have done so ) the biggest surprise I ever got regarding cable was with my EB's -- I swapped out some heavy duty rather expensive brand cable for Cat 5 and the results were astounding - obv this is a specific case and only because there is no crossover does it make sense -- just the right balance between signal and resistance -- but even so I was amazed at the synergy and when you save a fortune it is always nice --- enjoy the Frugals i know you will

Have you thought to try a bit of solid core mains cable, 1.5 mm square is the usual smallest in France.

I could always send you some short lengths of 1 mm square from my 'stock' of offcuts if you like.

Chris,

I have some CAT5, so I will give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
You are right, I am enjoying the Frugels. Steve is a top bloke and a true gent to deal with.

Alan,

I will give the solid core mains a go. I have some lying around.
Thanks for the offer of some offcuts. I will give you a shout if the other cables do not work well.

Brian,

You could use the same cable that your socket is wired with.
B&Q will have that no doubt.

Thanks, but there is no B&Q here. ;)
I'll try Castorama, the sister store in Europe.
