.... and as a hopefully useful accompaniment to the 'Which cart did you find the most fussy about set up but worth it ?' thread :)

Rega cartridges in a Rega arm. 3 point fix, sets the cartridge in place and lack of VTA adjuster removes the fiddling itch..:)

Denon 103/ Denon 103R, Shure v15 mk3, Ortofon Ag Meister. All a piece of cake .
Agree about the Denon 103s, provided a heavy headshell is used. It's been over twenty five years since I put a Shure V15 III in my arm. From what I remember it was a straightforward exercise, but it was a very long time ago!
The Ortofon SPUs are also straightforward to set up, as long as your arm can easily counterbalance it.
AKG and B&O SP series (with 1/2" fixings) cartridges are also easy to set up.

I went from the 2M Black to the Audio Note IQ3. Equally as good, without the headaches.
No cartridges are easy to set up, which is why I have stuck with the same one for ten years (with a retype/rebuild along the way).

I have a hell of a job putting any cart on my old Syrinx PU3 arm with its rotating armtube- getting the cartridge vertical is a bugger...

I don't understand the difference of a cart and a cartridge.
I am new to the site and relatively new to Audio, so my question is what is it please?

Simply an abbreviation, in the same way that 'amp' is an abbreviation for 'amplifier'.
