Hi every ones,

I'm a dumb on hifi even that I have been trying to build a system since high school or even sooner.
My setup now is Marantz CD6003, Rega Brio 3 and speaker JMR-XO1 with chord cobra interconnect
and chord silver screen for speaker cable. I like classic music, pop music such Adele with so beautifull
timbre and vibre voice. I have also Beyer Dynamic DT-500 headphone for night listening and AKG 451
to listen my collection while working in office or in home.

I heard once a system with Musical Fidelity CD that use some tubes Musical Fidelity tube amp
and small Dali Lektor 1 that sounds incredible transparent. Since the price tag is so high, I never
back to that shop again. I'm affraid to sell my house for that setup. :lol:

Welcome to AoS Michael,

I assume the Musical Fidelity system that impressed you was their range using nuvistor tubes. Was it really so expensive that you would have to sell your house to buy it? :eek:

Be content with what you have already: you can upgrade little by little, shouuld you feel the need.

I'm joking. Of course, I have to buy another house to put the dream setup, smaller than I have.now.
Usually, I buy a new equipment when the old one has broken. Before this 3 years setup,
I had CD player CEC791 since 1992 broken in 2001 that I changed with my old Onkyo DV-S535.
Before Rega Brio 3, I used Musical Fidelity Tempest that I changed its LM pre-amp IC with
Analog Device pre-amp IC until 2012 from 1996. Then it had problem with its switch selector
that made its volume unbalanced left and right. Only the speaker JMR X01 stands across
time and continent. (I bought previous setup when I was student in France until 1996).
I have still an old tuner-amplifier Technics from 1986, that I use as backup when my amplifier
stops working. The one that I pay with my first salary.

My unforgiveable setup with book shelf on the right, big glass windows behind me.
You will say, put a carpet below and curtain in front of windows. I will .....after permission
