Does anybody know any CD releases that feature the different, 45 rpm single version of Take Five. I have listened to it on Time Out hundreds of times but it would be nice to hear a different version for a change every now and then.

If you can stand the quality, listen on YouTube, there are loads of versions. I've downloaded three or four and they are all interesting. Desmond really does vary the interpretation a lot. Audacity strips the audio off and then iTunes or to CD.

Thanks Gordon, but I'm really looking for a good quality transfer. I wouldn't know how to strip the audio off

Funny how in the days of bonus tracks this never seemed to appear on any version of Time Out that I have ever seen. When you commonly get a useless single edit as a bonus why not when the single version is clearly different?

All of these have the version you want:

A very quick google finds this on ebay:

Simples!

Thanks for the links Graeme.

It does seem to be quite an oversight that the hit version is so poorly represented on CD and doesn't even appear on the Greatest Hits CD
