View Full Version : WTD: cheap passive pre or switchbox

Hi all. I need something to add an extra input to my amp and searching for switch boxes on the web seems to throw up horrible plastic boxes with cheap connections. Does anyone have a cheap passive they would like to move on or a decent (perhaps DIY) switchbox for sale?

Ah, but the thing about those "horrible plastic boxes with cheap connections" is that they work just fine! Really remarkably transparent, ime, probably far more so than a passive with a volume control to foul things up. I've used them in my multi-Łk system with great success. :)

Thanks Jerry, as long as they don't adversely affect the sound I can live with the plastic box. Can you let me know which one you used?
