Apple TV problem with Bushmaster II

Hi I have recently bought an Apple TV and connected it to my BM II via toslink. I get intermittant soft clicks over the speaker even when no music is playing. Removing the toslink and no clicks. When I use an airport express connected the same way there are no problems.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution?
