Probably a bit of a long shot this but does anyone have, or know someone that might have, a matched NOS/new pair of ECC83's ?

Telefunken, Philips or Valvo would be my first choice but would consider others

I don't want to spend a small fortune on them

Thanks ;)

Unfortunately regarding NOS Telefunken and Valvo Ecc83,s you will have to spend a small fortune.

If you can find some cheap, let me know!

Bev,

Watford Valves have Phillips and also General Electric NOS. I'm now using their own Harma retro series valves, they're the nearest thing I've heard to NOS Mullards

Thanks for the info Paul. I saw the Philips at Watford Valves but thought £45 each was a bit steep. Do you think their Harma version be a match for it?

Thanks for all your help

Hi Bev,

If you'd like a recommendation on some truly superb sounding ECC83s, which in my experience are as good as most Telefunkens, try these NOS Siemens:

Totally minto, and a bargain, IMO, at less than £40 a tube (for such a high-quality NOS variety!) The German seller in question is also a top bloke to deal with :)

Marco.
